Forty-seven years’ experience handling securities litigation, complex insurance coverage litigation, class actions, and other complex business litigation.
Tried cases in federal and state court, jury and non-jury, and arbitrations.
Have argued cases in various appellate courts, including the United States Supreme Court.
Represented both defendants and plaintiffs in federal and state securities class actions, private actions and derivative actions.
Represented both defendants and plaintiffs in disputes between broker- dealers and their customers.
Served as an adjunct professor at USC School of Law for 10 years (2004- 2014), teaching a course in securities litigation.
Represented both insurers and policyholders in complex insurance coverage litigation, including coverage disputes involving or relating to the following types of policies: Directors and officers liability policies, cyber policies, commercial general liability (CGL) policies, umbrella and excess policies, employment practices policies, construction defect policies, and first-party property damage and business income policies. Handled very wide variety of coverage, duty to defend, and bad faith issues, as well as subrogation and contribution issues.
